Yesterday Ashraf mentioned 16.30's area. This may have been a shorter term target. Low from a month ago was around 14.60's, a retest of that seems reasonable to me.

Rim--I was thinking that oil chart looked somewhat like a head and shoulders as well. Although not a very pretty one. Looking for a good spot to short myself.

You could definitely be right pipped. Just thought it might be worth a shot as often when everyone sees a certainty (like audusd, stocks, gold going higher) it might be time to be sell?

I think gold could pull back to 1110-15 without breaking its current uptrend, if it falls through that area then much lower.

Pipped - Oil is falling along with gold & it looks like someone pulled the plug on this risk rally. I was looking at going long usdcad...but shorted the bloated aussie at .91 instead.

@Pipster I tend to use the simple moving averages (200, 120, 50, 20) quite a bit along with the candle patterns. For me the these moving averages usually work well as support/resistance points. On the 4 hr chart we are currently trading below the 20 period sma. If we get a close below there the next support would be the 50 sma around 16.70. I am short off that bearish engulfing (along with the swift move down in gold) @ 17.33.
