FXHandler,
well 30 pips is actually quite good thinking if you get the direction 70% - 90% of the time right!!! I enter each position with higher amount and that increases my total winning.
Good luck

I am very cautious now with my FX trades and have decreased my stops from 50 pips to 30 pips for my swing trades. But I have increased my trade volume to compensate the fewer pips.

Qin,
why are you saying that Ashrafs predictions are wrong? First of all nobody is 100%, 2nd he predicted the rally for the commodity currencies (AUD, NZD, NOK) against JPY and USD and also he predicted the equity rally starting March for at least 2 months. Alone on these currencies alone you would have made a fortune. Just take a look at the charts between March and July!!! 3rd if you want to trade, then you are looking at the short term i.e. minutes, hours or maximum a few days. What I do with Ashrafs comments and predictions is to get the main trend. There is no way that anyone can predict the when and how much 100% and if you name me one then he must be GOD!!!

spec, you will make good money on your cable short but I hope that you won't lose it with your USD later into Q4. Good luck

Hi Ashraf,
hope you are enjoying your holiday.
There is much talk that the opposition will win the Japan elections and that it will have positive effect on the Nikkei. What is your take on the Nikkei and JPY?

Hey Qin,
Long term may be, but too strong CAD is not good since most of the exports go to the US and will make us less competitive. But the Canadians are flexible and are multicultural and will find a way out of any crisis.
Qin what do you think of Ben being kept at the FED? Ben is cheered for his work to stop the economy from a free fall!!! Even my grandfather could have done that by pumping $$$$ into the market. Lets see how they want to reduce their budget deficit. Just like Mark Faber, Jim Rogers, Peter Schiff and many others I also think the worst is ahead of us.

I think NOK will do better than CAD in the next 1 0r 2 years anyway, may be AUD will be a very good play too after the correction, which everyone is expecting to come. I had NOK short at 7.2 and closed them at 6.5 (too early). But will get back in again later.
Also good point about the transport of NG that you mentioned. Also keep in mind that NG is now being liquified to LNG and transported across the oceans and that industry is growing at a fast rate. India will have NG supply in the near future and that could drive up the price too.
Good luck with your trades.

If you look at the relation between NG and oil you will see that they move parallel and the ratio of NG:OIL moves between 11 to 15. Now it is about 1:24 due to a huge NG inventory and many new NG resources that have added to the inventory. Either oil has to come down or NG has to go up and I think it is more likely that oil will come down since it is only based on speculation. BUT I will go long when it is time for it, the low was Sep 2001 at $1.85

Hi Ashraf,
What impact do you think tomorrows Bernanke announcement will have on the markets? Could we see another short jump in risk appetite?
Your opinion is very appreciated
