Anyone here follow the Baltic Dry Index (BDI)? Now sitting at Jan 2009 levels. Nor is looking for AUDUSD at $1.10, but I wonder if shipping of coal, copper, etc, is slowing down in Asia. AUD is my favorite, but I am hesitating...

New Pip, the US is Canada's biggest trading partner. I doubt the loonie will be allowed to fall too fast, regardless of oil prices. Of course, the SNB couldn't fight the markets forever, so there's only so much a central banker can do.

The GLD exchange traded fund's gold holdings peaked at the end of September with a gradual sell off thru October, but holdings have been holding steady in November. Currently sitting at 1291 tonnes and didn't participate in the Friday sell-off.
