its called financial contagion..nobody wants to lose money when panic and fear is looming. Sell orders FLOOD IN!! This correction may be the mother of all since march 2009. sub 1.30 was well and truely broken and we are heading for 1.20 by june!!

trading error? i doubt it, who would want to be long risk right now? money managers are looking to reduce risk holdings for now.

1.20 is where the floor is then it will go back up.

I think the euro will bottom at 1.20 if the most pesimistic forecast is 115 by BNP.

asian markets collapsed last night and with all the soverign issues in europe, i doubt cable fell because of political speculation. cable fell due to safe heaven flows into the dollar. note that i never said the election would freeze cable i said it will not have much impact on it in isolation. dollar rose accross the board (exc yen) so its dollar strength!

i dont think tomorrows election will play a great role on the near term price for sterling as investors are focussed more on economic/financial data at present as opposed to political issues at present.
