The RBA has just fired the entire prop trading desk at Westpac for allowing their beloved Aussie to fall below 0.900. HOMER WEATHERMEN anaylysts at Westpac have been warned by RBA to get out and Pump Aussie with tales of parity some more, otherwise their summer beach cottages and winter ski chalets will be taken back.

RBA told Westpac HOMER analysts to at least put out a report stating fair value of Aussie is 0.9334 like all the other WEATHERMAN HOMER analysts have been doing.

Hi Ashraf,

Just wanted you input on USD/CAD; I am long at 1.0317 and put my stop-loss at parity; do you see the pair hitting parity? and my profit target is around 1.06.

@chloe-the price action in USDCAD lately reminds me of how it was in early-mid Jan before it finally "broke-out" to 1.0720

NZVIK agree about commodities...I do think we will be re-testing 2010 highs in Oil...subject to further tightening from China

i think a commodity rally is just round the corner coupled with USD declines - gold could be back over 1200 and oil could be around 85 - will unfold after NFP

Shorting commodity currencies seems to be frustrating if not entered at a right time. You have to wait for the rain!

Hey Ashraf,

Thanks for the heads up tweet on AUD/USD - I managed to get in just as it failed the 50-day SMA on 15-min chart at 90.13. I'll shoot for 89.50 unless you mention otherwise. Thanks again.

@chloe-and when I mean lost confidence in USDCAD, I mean ALL confidence

@Xaron-the RBA does sell currencies in FX, but it is non-aussie currencies. They sell them against aussie currencies to PROP their beloved aussie.
