Speculators' Futures FX Positions

The weekly figures on traders' futures commitments obtained from the Chicago Mercantile Exchange's International Monetary Market shed valuable light on the developing flows pursuing one currency versus another.

Hello Ashraf
On day where the s&p500 almost reached 1000, the Euro still cant find buyers. Is the correlation between stocks and Euro has been broken down.

Ashraf what is your end of 3rd quarter forecast for the GBP/USD and Euro/USD?
thanks

obviously banks use different techniques like technical or fundamental or bit of both. otherwise if they use one method the variances of estimates would be less.

ashraf do still stand by your $1.75/ this year?

spec, im asking you. when you tell us a bank says a curency is going up or down, give us a value. it''s not enough to say this bank is reversing its call etcc.

raj, in order for USDX to reach 82. EURUSD will have to fall by about 400 pips, which is just below the key 1.37 support and that in my view has a probability of less than 30%.

Hamish Wolf, thats what makes a market.

Hamsh, USB had that figure of 1.3 in 3 months on their books fo the past 3 months. I will not take that as an indication of anything. With the US in deeeep debt, I cannot see how they can be supported to that level.
