Totally madness!

What's going on Ashraf?

JPY carry unwind started before DOW crash ... i set buy stop limit EURJPY short but wasn't executed...
anybody opts for trader error? I don't buy that story.
No matter what the exposure of euro banks in PIGS bonds is in the 500 bill Eur range my bet tomorrow
ECB will announce qe because the alternative is credit freeze the hard way.
So EURJPY long should be doing well.

Ashraf-
I was hoping you could comment on USDJPY. I was surprised at the move today, as I consider the US to have the stronger economy, lower national debt, and to be closer to tightening monetary policy. Does this move reflect market perception that Europe contagion is likely to hit the US to a far greater degree than Japan? Since the market is likely to continue in a risk averse orientation, what should we expect going forward for USDJPY?

many thanks

Mr Laidi,

I know you bullish on USDJPY in recent weeks. I writing to ask if the the 150 pips drop in USDJPY has affected your outlook? How low do you see the USDJPY dropping further this week? Please share your thoughts with us.

Thanks you,
Maria.

Handler, oh no, i would NOT sell yen vs NOK. i would rather BUY BOK vs USD than against YEN.

My IMT on USDNOK turned out wrong but USDNOK weekly faces key 100 moving average resistance at 6.10. but if youy want to sell NOKJPY i would not target below 15.

When things are this volitile, you can make or loose a lot of money on these crosses,we have NFP,uk election result, various euro politico comments, all could effect yen movements even if unrelated to euro,ie.good NFP could push usd/jpy,cameron victory???could drive up gbp/jpy,these would also effect euro/jpy even if euro/usd is in the mud.For me this business is as much about avoiding the punches as landing them,by hard experience trade can look good but be badly timed and you walk into awall of short covering or central banks bargain hunting.

Does anyone have a view on EURJPY? The fall in the past 2 days has been interesting as we see a bounce from its previous low in sub 120 level. By just looking at the EURJPY monthy chart, it would seem a breach below this could provide a continuation to around 110?? Anyone brave enough to short at 120 levels?

Hi Ashraf

Read your last Intraday Market Thoughts.
The Nok got hit badly against the JPY today, probably because of market fear and oil decline. Even we raised interest rate, the financial minister "talked" the gains down...
However the Nok strenghtened against the CHF and EUR, cause of big problems in the EU.
You know me, wanting to short the JPY, is it good to sell JPY against the NOK at these levels @ 15,46-15.62?
If oil will rebound I expect the NOK to strenghten against the JPY as well......
When do we see 16.5ish again?
Advice please.

Cheers
