good article on bloomberg, supports everything that Ashraf is saying and making calls on twitter. Article in itself is very informational, but if you follow Ashraf tweets and this website, this is very, very old news.
It is posted on bloomberg less than 1h ago.

Regarding Q.E. from the FED

Currencies of economies reliant on commodities are also likely to benefit from quantitative easing as the extra supply of money supports inflation

The Barclays study examined currency movements around Fed decisions as a means of assessing the likely reaction to quantitative easing. They found that the yen and franc tended to outperform before and after the decisions

Canadas dollar would be the biggest winner this time because of its proximity to the U.S.

hajdar,

yes, Z. Ibrahimovic is Bosnian that is very much missed, but Edin Dzeko is taking that position very well. btw, all players on bosnian national team play outside bosnia. With new coach Safet Susic (who spent most of his life in French teams) we are about to make the differens on the pitch.

Ashraf, ..............understandable...........'till 2012 Euro

1h after the start of Bosnia-France on tuesday, is Argentina -Spain.............and on the same day FOMC meeting minutes, Canada and AUD GDP, China Manuf. PMI..................this day will go fast

good qualifying matches

england redeem itself against Bulgaria (4:0), but France confirmed very bad football against Belarus (0:1). Bosnia scored three goals against Luxembourg by 16th minute. Sorry I missed super high scoring game Portugal-Cyprus (4:4)

Ashraf, do you think France stands a chance against Bosnia on Tuesday ?

Ashraf

I was hoping that I would catch your inteview somewhere about USD/JPY, since just about everybody is talking about it, and media has a habit of calling you for your perspective.
It seems to me that I grew a bit inpatient, and I would like to hear Your opinion about USD/JPY movement.

..... and what do You think what can be bottom for 10yr yield ?

Thank You

these institutions are saying lower retail sales for July;

The Johnson Redbook survey of retail sales says 0.6 % decline vs. previous month.

in a book "IN FED WE TRUST", Author David Wessel, describes events of 2008 crisis in great detail.
What I find interesting is to what length author went when describing Bernanke, and how important was to him to have unified vote on FOMC meeting. On some meetings, presidents would change their mind after the vote, out of the respect for the "Chairman's opinion".
We'll see soon what is the outcome of this FOMC meeting, and how they voted

Ashraf,

AUD/CAD Daily chart looks very interesting. 200 MA clearly had a lid on the Aussie gains. Do you see much downside on "risk aversion" plays ? it looks overbought at this level to me.

Thank You

Ashraf, excellent as usuall

beautyful trade, it was so clear from the beginig. For a while there was a ping-pong game with weekly tops and bottoms, but it finaly broke down. Smal stops too that were never in question - trader can not ask for more :)

AUD/USD on a daily looks capped at 100 ma , and unable to reach 0.8870 (last week high) for a third day. On a weekly chart 50 ma capping at 0.8885 although it is rising, and on 4h chart you can put a falling trend line on RSI that is turning lower again. Plenty of reasons for me to take a risk and sell AUD @0.8844. Stop above last week high, and targeting 0.8750 Looks to me that longs will start taking profit into Bernanke " words of wisdom".
AUD was a performer today, but I think it is going to give up some of it. My thinking is " who wants to have pocket full of Aussies before event like today ?"
