Just my opinion based on technical observations ,S&P very strong above 910 , dollar sitting on precipice and ready to tank .

Mojo regarding how high she'll go ,I haven't got a clue but we do have some guideposts to go by,namely that 880 is significant support and 950 resistance. If 950 gets taken out getting to 1000 will be a good bet.

Given the divergences between S&P and other indeces as well as the vix makes you think that someone is trying very hard to prop this market up.Interesting to see how long it can hold up for.

Ashraf, back in early march Roubini's widely publicized negative views on the economy coincided with the market's bottom .Yesterday when I read the report on Roubini's positive take on the economy I took it as a signal possibly marking a top in the markets. But now that you have made me aware of his retraction of such views I don't what to make of his comments. I suppose I'll stick to what I've always been doing and that is to take my leads from the price action itself.

Notwithstanding the VIX divergence signal with the S&P ,price action at least for now appears strong and maybe this rally still has some legs . What is interesting is that the rally coincided with a Bradley trend turn date ( Jul 15 ).I think the key is to watch support at 880 .

Hi Ashraf ,I trust that your question below regarding the VIX is rhetorical therefore thankfully I won't go into answering it . Feeling lazy.

VIX again moves up in tandem with S&P 500.I think a pullback is in the cards.

Spec , some of my favorite financial commentators are huge deflationists but nevetheless due to certain technical aspects I think that there is a good chance that gold will go higher and sooner than many suspect . In any case my experience of the markets is that they really don't care about anyones opinions and prognostications so I just merely buy and sell when my signals get triggered.

All that I know is that both currencies have gained relative to the dollar since the news.
