CL could drop further on the long term t/f...but def think there is a great long setup coming here over the next few days. Lets get the NFP # out f the way and we could see a bounce

@Dave - lol aggressive...u don't know the meaning of it...all I can say is calm down oldboy dont want u getting a heart attack on my account. I don't give out trading calls as that is for u and your minion ignore. I clearly stated 1640s and 1650s are resistance in GC...as a trader upto u when you want to take the short. If you had 2 brain cells to rub together you would have seen what I wrote and shorted when GC was popping to 1630, for a tidy earner

Dave on the weekly chart my t/line is from the all time high of July 08 and was broken on March 28th this yr (106.7). Its a downward sloping line and am using that as my simplistic way of determining if we are in for bigger gains or losses

btw are you looking to buy CL?

@CHLOE if you are short CL look for 107.50 and 107 as first levels of support where buyers will rush in...below that the t/line of 106.40 is also a good level for buyers...anything below that and the shorts will be in play.
Tho I have to agree with Dave's analysis that CL is looking like it has more upside than downside. You just have to look at the correlation between ES and CL to see if ES regains the 1340s handle CL will look for an excuse to rally to 110. IMHO I will look to be a buyer after todays inventory numbers especially if there is a large build at cushing and we get an o/extended drop in price

Really interesting topic of discussion here and DaveO has made some v good points. Just to add my 2 cents. I traded at 3 banks in London since 2004 and was moderately successful, but the pressure and long hrs took their toll and having saved up enough decided to leave and run my own account. My first yr of doing that I was 11k down, mainly due to indiscipline (not getting up early and partying till late at night) and not having any risk mgrs to tell me off for taking excessive risks. This yr I am up nicely and only because of employing the same rigorous discipline when I traded the banks money.

Xaron I agree we are not facing a single CB, but all 7. But I think we will see another test of the lower handles. The specs are not done yet with the yen and we will see a big fight specs/hedge funds Vs CBs. But this time I intend of pouncing at the low levels like you and hitting USDJPY with serious size...enough to pre order the drop top SL55 AMG Merc for summer lol!!

@Lucky I agree the Saudi day of rage is tmrw so the potential is def there. Problem for CL is 103.5-103.9 is big block of resistance now, break thru that and I would punt long too
