Has any one of the chart astrology fraction considered that many existing filter algorithms ( i.e. for digital image processing )
can be well applied in chart tools? A rather rudimentary stuff is de-pixelation , and that is roughly what Chande momentum does. This is only the beginning.

In reply to Qingyu's post
Mauldin has some points on new president and JPY. It isn't that easy. My idea is there are large short positions in JPY while NZD is considered most bullish. That is all possible moves by new govt are priced in however by constitution BOJ is fully independent. Thus a short squeeze is possible if anticipated and priced moves don't happen. Never say never.
Whatever it will take time, and in the coming days JPY may rise instead of falling. Further weighing Draghi words a rate cut is coming for EUR, 25bps at least. Thus EURJPY USDJPY long may not be the best choice better is shorting JPY vs commoditiy IF all gets in as expected.

Reading summary of algo trading and HFT.... huge orders placed to lure real money and then withdrawn
causes big millisecond spikes and oops your are stopped out. Summary compares HFT to mass spam mails. Regulation possible if stock exchanges wanted but hardly for fx.
