1013 on the S&P. I have never seen so much tech support. 32 fib of the 2009 bull, 68 fib of the 2008 bear, its the monthly 200ema (only broke once in last 40 years, Lemans). Stoch oversold on the daily.

@Qiman: Can't remember where I saw it, but somewhere I read that the _price_ of GS stock (rather than their predictions) could sometimes be a leading indicator for where the stock market as a whole is headed. I pass this on for what it may be worth. (I haven't verified it for myself).

@ Zee, you are welcome! Regarding NG, in time it will surely retest 5.20, but the timing is the problem. NG could bump around where it is for awhile depending on hurricane paths and the summer heat. But it could also explode in just one day if a storm lines up for Louisiana. Weather will be the biggest factor, especially as the overall world economy looks a bit tepid at the moment for industrial demand.

Just an abbreviation for Technical Analysis, some swear by it, others think it is reading tea leaves.

Oil today was a good example of TA sometimes driving things strongly--it failed to form a double bottom at around 75.50, and then plummeted 75 cents within minutes. Wasn't correlated with much else going on out there, siimply the chart pattern didn't hold and so short sellers piled on.
