Shaer, I am NOT sure that EURUSD will go to 1.43 i am saying there is a RISK that it could drop towards that level. The break below $1.48 has been crucial and the more sessions we spend below it, the more likely we could go to $1.46 and $1.43 if the Dubai story remerges (more will be known in next 4 weeks)

Uh oh... that's sad to hear. But let me explain that even Ashraf can't know where the price will go.

Personally I think we will move up at least to 1.48 and might test 1.4625 as well but I'm not that sure. If that stupid Greece default stuff fear is away we will see higher levels again. But that's only me. I can't see that we will go down to 1.42 levels, I simply see no reason for that (beside funny technical stuff).

I think that's a highly improbable scenario.

that is a highly probable scenario - but it looks too easy to play ! I suspect it may be time for the relation between strong equities and weak dollar to de-couple to some extent - where in dollar strengthens but equities do not weaken much or even hold at current levels or strengthen.

I am curious as to anybody's opinion on the fate of US equities given a significant downturn in EUR/USD. It seems to me that investors will rush to cover their shorts on the USD and thereby drive down US equities as the carry trade unwinds. Any thoughts?
