VIX, Oil, BRICS & Sterling's Sell-Appeal

BRICS equity indices fail at key fib retracements, VIX and oil near major trend lines and sterling's sell-appeal hasn't looked this good in a while.

we have probably peaked in stocks for the year and may have a downside correction. so i see q4 more about fundamentals and monetary policy which includes all the economic date. interest rate differentials and expectations will move the markets,.

slaiman, i am keeping my mind open to the scenario you just mentioned.. possibly occuring in Q4 but need to carefully assess.

In the meantime: one cannot tlak about paradigm shifts and changing scenarios based on 3 hours.

Ashraf,

Could we see a scenario that occurred after oct 07, where US stocks and USD took downwards trends?

Jack, i said 69.90 was a trend line resistance but looking at this chart in the link below, we may have a trend line resistance at around 70.20. Breaking this point, we'd have to see a subsequent break above the RIGHT SHOULDER RESISTANCE, which is around 72.20s. It seems that Im moving the goal posts, but thats the nature of the beast. The divergence between the oil bearish EIA supply data and the oil-bullish iran speculation is to trigger a sharp breaking point very soon.

fastpips, good seeing you around. Id say wait for decent 5-7% pullback in AUDUSD before treating it for the next run back to high 90s. NZDUSD is another. Tune in for Saturday's webinar (DETAILS IN HOMEPAGE)

630ci. Thanks. again, register for my webinar w/ Chris Lori this Saturday.

Hi Ashraf!
I have learned a lot from your seminars, books and articles. Thanks so much and please continue the good work. I have also benefited from your calls, especially longterm call on Aud usd you have given for over 2000 pips. Do you see any other pair setting up for that kind of run in 3 to 6 months. Thanks in advance for your advice.

Hi all, im new to trading. First of all i want to thank Ashraf for seting up such a useful website. Thank you so much for sharing you knowledge with us, i went to your presentation in Dublin recently and found it brilliant and packed with info on markets, I'm only a begginer(well have been straggling with trades since april this year) , although i have some knowledge on TA so far i have lost a few thousand euros on FOREX coz of lack of knowledge ,as i was applying TA rather then following the economic data and also i haven't realised at the time that markets are so risky and volatile and that news and economic data influence currency movenment so much- (yes, guys, my stupidity, i accept...)
Ashraf, I have started reading your book now and find it very helpful , and have started to get back some of my losses. So i just wanted to say that im very grateful to you for sharing your knowledge with the world. I am your dedicated follower now :) . Thank you...
