Perhaps China is "helping" out the Ezone so that maybe at some point the EU in return will remove the Arms Embargo against them...

How far do you think the buying of European paper buy the Chinese and Japanese will support the Euro? Word on the street is that the Chinese will buy bonds issued buy the EFSF later on this month.

@Forum,

Could I ask people's opinions on the "revamp" of the EFSF which is due in March? How supportive for the uro will this be?

Many thanks,

@ DaveO/Catnip,

Thanks for your comments. I also believe it was just talk as seriously it's the last thing we need here.

Ashraf,Forum,

How serious should we take Mr Trichet in reference to the possibility of raising interest rates should inflation get out of hand? Do you believe it's really possible considering the state of the peripheral countries at the moment? Could I ask when you think we could see a rate hike?

thank you,

Hi Ashraf,
Do you have a rough timeframe of when you think China will raise rates again? Also, have you taken this into account with your forecast of $1,550 by Q1 2011?
