yes with 2 brokers one can have short and long pos . Profit depends on exit .
Chartists will exit from both positions concurrently and make no money. But I am not a chartist.
I use only strenght and trade strength differences, not prices.

Nevertheless with the geopolitical situations given traders must take politics into account.
Not at all surprising Russia profits most. Russia's grip on Europe becomes untenable.

Btw Gaddafi .... he has accounts everywhere and if a few cents are blocked makes Gaddafi calebrate as long as Tamoil operates and it does. Again Russian connection via Chavez.

Speculations wane Trichet will act - hike 25 bp - instead of talk . COT shows built up of EUR short pos. I keep the second short pos entry 13880 and prepare for spikes up to 13950 with a long position .@3838

when the banking system has collapsed you will see what I mean. Btw it will be worse than a world war in terms of victims. But of course no one could demand US debt to be paid.
Gold will not have any value.

To understand what the FEd is doing begin with globalization. And even before what led to globalization. basically globalization created many dependants of the USD and virtual dollar tanks. And many new creditors of US debt. All virtual money. FED continues to foster easy credit
now think what happens if eventually the banking system collapses. No more bank transfers. The value of virtual money is zero. Then there is a huge shortage of US cash. What is the business of a central bank ? Yes to provide cash, eventually. Now compare M0, M1,M2, M3. The FEd prints money? Nope. M0 steadily decreases. US cash gets rare.
The FED prepares deflation. Anyway I continue to stuff greenbacks in every matress. Not far from now bucks will be the only cash that can buy anything at all.

the officially announced public debt of Germany is EUR 1,997 bln or about EUR 2 trn that is equivalent to USD 3.6 trn .
So far for the over-indebted US . Sooner or later but this year credit rating of Germany will lose triple A.
