I think I'll give up trading currencies and commodities and just "buy and hold" stock in RKK's bank.

I'm not a technical analyst but from a technical point of view, the last few advances in this pair have been followed by pretty substantial retracements. So technically, it would not be surprising if the same happened again.

From a quick lookback, what Vik says is more or less correct. However, as they say in the small print in ads for financial products: "Past performance is no guarantee of future results..."

The Guardian was saying that the recent Gilts auction went (surprisingly) well, which presumably means that some people have confidence in Sterling.

@Vips: I suppose you mean 1165? Personally, I'd be happy with 1065 though :-)

As we say in England: "Mandy Rice Davies" ("They would say that, wouldn't they")

Only caught a few pips of it. My original limit/TP was set too high, so closed it manually for small gain.
(Was concentrating elsewhere really).

I'm short at 1121.5. Has tested 1125 and apparently rejected. Downside back towards 1115 today...?

USD getting pounded a bit as well.

@Speegman: I only know spread-betting companies, and I believe you are not allowed to use them from the USA, so can't help.

Thanks Anti-PPT :-) Sadly I wasn't around to take advantage and my limit/TP was too low.
Oh well, it's back in the money (for now) again.

I'm short from 1120 (I left an order and I wasn't able to watch it; if I had been able, I might have nudged it to get in a bit higher. Still it has been briefly in the money already and I hope will be again... :)
