nzvik, depends on your trading style. but again looks like u need to look at shorting the market and following the trend initially. we may retrace down quite a bit.

we are probably entering risk aversion mode towards year end which could imply:
lower gold
lower oil
lower stocks
higher dollar (index)

Elliot Wave Theory confirms perfect retracement levels for the dollar which means the dollar is set to soar in the coming quarters. as the dollar seems to correlate well with risk on an inverse basis

nzvik, cable is a little confusing at present. But note that goldman is currently bullish on sterling and this was published on bloomberg today. not only that there may be quite a bit of raw sterling purchases going on by foreign investors as the pound remains very weak and makes a potentially cheap buy on a global basis for real assets such as real estate in UK. But I think goldmans statement today may have influenced.

ashraf, true. looks like dollar is gathering some risk aversion boost. whilst the market remains very short on the dollar eg against euro we may have an abrupt reversal to start the new dollar mini boom.

i think ashraf's $1.57/euro target will be closely reached by year end. he has been predicing this since 1.40 or even before. but equities may cap but probably reach within 3% of his target which is impressive.

yes i said last few weeks yen will weaken against dollar in near term...it will be the initial loser to the dollar whilst the dollar bull run gathers momentum.

from the major pairs, i can only see the euro benefiting against dollar.

redstone, 160 for now. there should be a gradual sell off for the next few days.
