Ashraf, just to double check as you wrote that the USDJPY would fall to below 80 in Q3. This is your expectation even though we have not seen this happen in the last 30 years.

I get the feeling now, that the floodgates have opened to test 87 level quite comfortably. its one way traffic for now.

Ashraf, please could we have your opinion if the Yen will strengthen further against the USD or will a reversal occur. Feeling a bit dejected as i felt being long USDJPY at the 89.5 and 90 level was a good decision when i entered the trade.

Thanks Ashraf, but i think your call on support level was more accurate as it tested 88.56 last night. I am also puzzled about the reason behing this yen strength.

i think 89.00 is now providing a more reliable support and hopefully a change in trend is occuring in favour of the USD.

USDJPY is begining to range. its just not getting past the 89.50 mark, coming close on 3 occassions since mid last week. Perhaps the not so good data from the US last night has prevented the breakout.

cheers Xaron. i was feeling frustrated with the decline since last week as i am long USDJPY at various lots in the 90 and 89 level.
