I knew Frank Williams of the Williams F1 team back when his wages cheques bounced at the bank every week. trying to build a race team on fresh air before big sponsors came on the scene.

I once knew a guy called John Lievesley. Chief engineer for McLaren race team, good cam designer. He drove the first Ford supercar introduced (cant remember the name. GT.40?) up the M.1 motorway. Those days lane discipline was very bad with bluddy idiots stuck in the outside lane at 65 mph. John moves up close to some ole boy in his ford anglia, contacts the bumpers and accelerates up to 120 mph in 10 secs. The poor guy freaked out and went into the reserve lane to have his heart attack :-) very irresponsible but hey dem days were fun days.

its doable already to monitor the car's speed through the GPS

you go over limit , the system registers and sent you the speed ticket automatically

Fun days before nanny state -- speed restrictions and breathalisers et al. No fun now except on a race track.

The old Jenson Interceptor SP with 4 barrel holy carbs one of my favourites. You could see the fuel guage falling when booting it on a motorway.
