thawed ... Euribor OIS spread decreased. Of course IMF controlling ECB means Merkel's death politically in Ezone.

Imo that is a reaction to Merkel's rejection of Sarkozy 's ESM proposal in order to keep IMF out.
I think it will occur that IMF controls ECB. Interbank lending appears a bit tawed Italy banks rallying... thus the market sees it positive.

@cat, can you imagine germany/france agreeing to IMF control of ECB. I can't.

So where does IMF find 600bil to 1 tril. The story sounds unlikely to me. Since Lagarde took over she has made several calls for more dosh but to no avail.

EURUSD up 100 pips on IMF bailout news. But wait if London fx confirms. If so expect +200 pips by London close. Not sure ....

Italian La Stampa and german handelsblatt have a story IMF is preparing Eur 600 bln bailout package for Italy if ECB actually pays and IMF guarantees... that is ECB under control of IMF...
end of ESM story. Too bad UK needs not switch to right side drive. Although once upon a time, british bike makers made bikes for right side traffic.
