I am warming to Hollande with his clumsy walking into Merkel, I think he has poor eyesight, perhaps even half blind. A blind man could see the light for ezone.

Will be interesting to hear germany's response on wednesday to eBonds on Msr Hollande's a la carte menu.

Steppin' in a timid manner towards eurobonds: Merkel possibly must agree to "Deutschlandbonds" Bufu dropped on the spot on this news.
from bloomberg

"Germanys 16 states had 531 billion euros ($676 billion) of debt as of January, about half the federal governments 1.07 trillion euros, according to the Finance Ministry in Berlin. The sum doesnt include municipal debt. North Rhine-Westphalia owed the most, at 130 billion euros, and Saxonys 9.4 billion euros was the least. "

you can add another 300 bln Eur for municipal bonds....most cities which issue such bonds are bankrupt by all rational measures as the cost of public services is the highest of all members of Ezone.
who said Spain is heavily indebted?

EURAUD short has worked so far, entry 1.2990 . I assume more China easing will eventually boost AUD. Further as long as Merkel does not declare defeat EUR will stay weak, It will see a huge bounce once european debt gets shared with Eurobonds.

Europe is screwed,so is its neighbours and trading partners sterling and swissie, yen is prone to intervention, and the highly indebted dollar "best looking horse in the glue factory" is a safe haven or is it,more bad figures like philly fed or a state threatening default ??? Gold could break 1,600 ??
