But some of us have children and grandchildren to worry about---hence the passion for our respective countries and indeed for the very survival of the planet should a bond market strike ultimately confront us all. Bad governance can be seen as irresponsible for the well being of future generations. Frustrations with bad politicians are not only confined to trading forums, how many times have we heard Bernanke and Draghi warn governments that their CB actions are simply buying time, not designed to resolve the underlying issues.

So two issues in this forum, the business of profiting from short term market dynamics and the business of see if you can spot another lie.

djellal,

20 years is quite opimistic.

In the long run we are all dead.

Curency trading is all about flows in relative values.

We are here to trade on these moves and not necessarily on what is economically, politically or socially viable.

Hi Ashraf,
I think that these words are used because people in this forum are lucid.
Euro as currency is a Hoax.
I don't give to euro more than 20 year more.
Politicans in europe are Miltonian soldier, they only want to choc european people in order to rob little people money.

They don't want to protect their economy contrary to US, China, UK and japan.
I don't think that european countries will come back to a serious growth with this auterity package that will last in 2020.
Indeed also USA don't tell the truth (S&P's US AAA storie) but they protect their economy better than european politician.

But I agree with you that this kind of thinking is unnecessary in trading.
That's why in order to trade better people must focalized themself on these officials statements.

So I m still short on Eurusd because I think austerity menace euro. And I have an institutional account to manage so I can easily keep my short long term positions and play the range bound 1.30-1.33.

I didn't neither did I miss the JPY downturn. This time I used wide sl and wasn't irritated when huge losses mounted because I was sure ( by credit data once more) it would all revert and come out profitable.
It did. Yesterday I posted a very risky EURJPY long trade which went fourfold today.
But Ashraf lets face the facts: Merkel's austerity is a total failure. But she doesn't hesitate to bail out Cyprus banks robbed out by Russian oligarchs ( quote "we must avoid confrontation with Russia"). No Sir I don't give a cent on this Lady. She did everything wrong what could be done wrong.
