Yen strength still eclipsing USD rebounds during risk aversion. while gold's ascent is better gauged against currencies other than the US dollar.

@Amg: Yes, interesting. Always worth listening to George (the "other" GS :-) ).
Story was more relevant at 1225 than now, to be honest. The bubble is already leaking.

Your post reminds me: Does anyone know why some URLs posted here work as proper clickable links, and others don't? If have tried using HTML tags here sometimes in the past, but they seem to get ignored.

@Radu: Yes, I'd be more likely to short a bounce to 1100+ . From where we are now, I feel it could go either way, so shorting is a bit risky I feel.

@Said: Gold you mean? Interesting. I wouldn't be surprised if so.

Montmorency , if you ckecked Ashraf"s thoughts & analisys about gold and from others--this site have a blog section with Chris Vermuelen--too , looks lake is very possible to gold to goes down , but i can"t tell exactly how much...btw Ashraf"s long term(years) view on gold is bulish..and usd is strenght now , the price of gold is in usd..
I choose to short on gold with options to minimize the risks(amount of a possible loss).
I can"t tell you short , short now ... but if it will made a bounce to 1110 maybe is good ideea..it"s your call

Hi Radu. Options are a bit beyond me (I only spread-bet), but it doesn't look beyond the bounds of possibility for it to get down there before too long, does it? Can't quite bring myself to short it, and am waiting until it's time to go long again. No idea when that will be though.
