think 153 will be turning point. feds will launch 2nd part qe2 in dec. sterling should then rebound to 168. then boe launches its qe2 in late jan. gbp then falls back to 158.

golden, those who are good questions for someone who's "new to FX". shorting GBPJPY instead of GBPUSD is also valid. i actually mentioned 126.80 target in GBPJPY in earlier Thursday. The other agrument in favour of selling GBP vs JPY is that Japnese are unlikely to intervene just before the G20 this weekend

Hi Ashraf, great analysis.

I'm wondering if it is safer to sell it against the JPY because the QE2 may not yet be priced in? Anyway, in case we get more of "risk off" (which is possible, considering how overextended we are in equities) JPY would rally on par with the USD, right? The only wild card is possible intervention by BoJ.

I'm new to FX, so please let me know what you think.

Hi wat will the coming weeks be like for GU pullback for shorts again?
Of course if it breaks the 5650 level then it would signal more south
bound as u said that's the significant level. Any advice for those who want
to build a long term position to ride it all the way down? Tks.
