@Daveo - lol...I am definitely (lol!!) sure that euro will survive, doesnt mean it wont be battered and bruised by the bond vigilantes...As I said Eire or GR might be forced to leave, but our ruling masters have invested WAY too much in this stupid experiment for it to fail

@Catnip - Portugal will be bailed out by the euro stabilising fund and ECB combined with US and China will come in for Spain

Despite of rumors purported by Euro permabulls, China did not buy Portugal bonds. Auction today of EUR 500 mln went very bad. Record high yields fire sale prices.

Don't think I have eur v NIK and SEK on my various broker platforms, nor on my main charting prog. I imagine CMC quote if you are recommending these pairs.

Looking at the hourly chart on the euro, it appears to have broken below the 100 day sma.Could this be the resumption of the downtrend?

Yes chloe re "definitely" and yes chloe for a possible turnaround. Need to see the first mini crash for stocks, lets say a 25 handle down day in S&P. That would get my short buds motivated :-)

Nice trade in the crude today. 60 min H&S with entry at 91.25. Similar trade in gold from 1413.
