Ha, catnip, - spot on
Abramovich though pays his income tax at Chukotka (if you know what GULAG is, you know where that is, then).

Chloe, no I made that mistake from his book intro. He told me he did not spend his childhood in the states. He seems very secretive about his background but I sense he was educated at a top english public school. (public means private fyi)

UK citizen doesn't mean much but yet more than Swiss citizen. Abramovic is UK citizen Vekselberg is Swiss citizen neither of them pay taxes anywhere but regularly receive tax returns. . Thus these could well replace Mubarak.

I propose Ashraf for president of Egypt.

As to the fundamentals discussion on Egypt I do not feel qualified to comment and so often I have witnessed the markets doing the opposite to what would seem logical and expected. All very interesting however and let's hope the people are successful for a new regime. Terrible problem for them having no obvious new leader 100 miles away from the present clan.
