So you trade currencies? Dabble in indices, speculate in gold or scalp oil? What were you doing today at 9:45 am Eastern, 2:45 pm London or 5:45 pm Dubai? Most of you have heard of the JOLTS report, others never heard of the thing, but those who know what it is(or not), how many were ready for it? 30 mins before today's release of the JOLTS report, I prepared our WhatsApp Broadcast Group with the possible scenarios and their impact on indices and gold. I also mentioned to the Group how it moved markets the last time it was released (Aug 29).  What happened after the report was history. I will not mention on here my repeated warnings to the Group this week and last on the need for the Bank of Japan to intervene as a 1st salvo to exploit thin liquidity from China holiday. Finally, the Nasdaq100 targets were just some of the targets hit. 

  You can spend hours in trading chatrooms, listening to experts and peers to feel a sense of community or guidance. But beyond NFP and FOMC, there is an ocean of developments, relationships, clues, trend and patterns, that will not be revealed to the naked market eye i.e. not everything is obvious or apparent. You need consistency in guidance and alerts throughout the trading day.
