I don't think you heard me when I suggested diverting to Robert Miner for initial books and education. He is very logical and a good teacher. Not such a good trader himself but I doubt he trades himself these days. When I was last in touch with him about 6 yrs ago he was running a service for longer term positioning which might suit you. You are not suited to any of the RT rooms I kinda had in mind and if you still have a day job they would be unmanageable for you. You might become more suited to them in the fullness of time and once you are trading full time. You seem like a pretty intelligent guy to me but you need to nail the lure of RN Elliott's works and never forget that the works are his works. He died in 1949 but most all his stuff is still good today. A lot of his stuff has been stolen by various gurus and made their own, renamed etc.
Ideally you need a mentor once you have grasped EWA. The mentor needs to be an experienced profitable trader and one who does it for free. If you join a service running a hotcomm room or the like you stand a reasonable chance of meeting someone up for the challenge. I am now too old at 66 with a wife who wishes to travel. Our 40th anniversary comin up soon. I am phasing back on trading commitments and looking to get another life outside of trading. By that I mean reduce screen time from c.75 hrs per week to អ. gl.
Aussies like to call us brits "winging poms". I can't imagine why :-) We need very thick skin when talking to typical aussies, male or female it would seem.
When Osjeck posted on Friday he thought we were being stupid and you backed him up I checked both your histories. In both cases your posts on Friday were the very first posts you had ever made. I think that speaks for itself and you should not be too surprised at the response you received from me and Sir Ignore, your targets.
Let's call an end to this and I hope you make a habit of making a "positive" contribution a little more frequently than your last 2 years. If you persist in making negative posts about regular contributors in the forum having now made a total of only 4 posts yourself I think you can expect at best a defensive response.
@Sir Ignore, I don't know if Ashraf plans to keep this forum going but frankly I think he should bin it and put it down to experience, move on with something better and more secure. I shall trial his new service for one month and cut it if there are probs.
I really miss my boat when the weather good and its been great last 4 to 6 weeks. Still waiting for the inevitable price collapse in UK for new boat and waterside pad :-) Meanwhile tradin & savin :-)

The fact this forum has so few members tells me that the majority of Ashraf followers are twitter peeps lookin to follow calls like sheep, no interest in becoming real independent traders. Let's see if the subscription service produces a few more serious traders and filters out the peeps.
Yea Steve Hochberg complete waste of space, the main Prechter arse lic*er if you like. I emailed him on 3 occasions once about his gold count over a 4 month period during which time I was making in excess of 100K while he and his followers must have been losing money. I never received any replies, prob due to ego impediment. EWI are a complete joke amongst all the old traders I hang out with and known for many years. They have a very proftable biz there on the back of inexperienced novice would-be trader subscribers.
Timing is everything for trading (or investing). I been perma bear myself large picture fundamentals & stock mkts since 98 but that doesn't mean I only trade short. Indeed the whole bag of tricks is heavily manipulated so that is what I trade. I trade what the charts are telling me. If Prechter or his side kick were actually trading themselves they would be burnt out 100 times over. They make money from watching their followers gettin burnt on their calls but with average 3 month turnover for futures traders their biz is secure. Many in the "educational" industry are themselves failed traders but make money from becoming self appointed "experts".
By all means read Prechter's socio economic stuff & cycle gurus of all varieties inc astro. Its all very interesting stuff but it aint gonna make you money in the shorter term and it could lose you a lotta money in the longer term.
