That's true. Or they just lower the debts by devaluation of their currency. Now I ask you what's easier to achieve? To attract enough foreign capital the US will need double digit rates in the long run. Will that help their economy?

catnip, if Dr.Ben is clever or not. Even he can't deny the fact that the US need a weaker dollar. And I agree with him. :D I will never again take the Dollar on the long side - well at least as long these nuts think that "deficits don't matter". lol

Yes, still long USD/JPY. I shorted crude oil at 108.10 (well at least it's called crude at RBS)
