EU been trending on daily chart but hard to believe on intra day one hour/ four hour, very choppy stuff that one might normally consider corrective. Currently showing double tops on 1hr and 4hr

regarding dollar weakness/eur strength the euro index has now retraced halfway between 50% and 61.8% of the Oct 09 to June 10 decline. Just above the 61.8% level at 114.17 we have important resistance at 114.64. Pattern suggest need a ret soon before testing higher levels.

Cat makes wild statements. You only get "burned" through your own stupidity whatever methodology you are following. And we know that less than 2% taders are consistently profitable under ANY mkt conditions.

Portugal bailout may likely fail. China vows we'll buy spanish bonds and invest in cash strapped cajas however the last time China bough no Spain sov bonds at all it was all talk.
Thus we have the situation of a dead and a very dead currency. Unpredictable. Shiller recently in French TV warned chartists and fundamentalists will both get burned no matter what they trade.

It is not the Euro that is so strong, it is the Dollar which is that weak for good reasons.

EURUSD (1.4460) A softer ZEW (economic sentiment) from both the Eurozone and Germany has done nothing to slow the rise in EUR. As we move into the North American open, EUR is flirting with a test of 1.4500. To date, this has proved significant resistance, however we would expect a near‐term break of this level. German inflation (EU harmonized) rose to 0.6%m/m and 2.3%y/y. Tomorrow, the Eurozone is expected to release inflation prints of 1.1% on core and 2.6% on headline and this is a key risk for the EUR. Any upside surprise will support the currency on the back of expectations over the ECB. C.S.
