NEW ZEALAND/OPINION: The premise for the removal of the 50bps "insurance
cut" by the RBNZ in September is being seriously tested, as is the more
general case for further removal of stimulus down the track, say BNZ
economists. "Clearly the risk of the RBNZ waiting for longer has
increased," the economists say, noting the markets have swiftly backed
off the idea of OCR hikes. "Having priced in the Reserve Bank's strong
indication of a 50 point hike at the 15 September MPS (Monetary Policy
Statement), there is now only a slim chance seen of a 25 point hike,"
BNZ economists say.

I would be interested in this question as well. I follow your work to help me trade the ES, but have been considering subscribing as well.

Dennis Gartman of TGL, in his daily piece written ahead of
employment data releases in Canada and the US, advocates buying Canaidan
dollars vs euro in a trade that takes advantage of current C$ weakness
and whicn anticipates further euro slippage, per Gartman's "watershed"
call from last week. As an aside, Gartman advises; "We shall finish this
morning by stating simply that these are precarious times and trades
should be made in smaller size than is our usual wont. The object of the
game in environs such as these is hardly to win, but merely to survive
to be able to fight another day. Dry powder is at a premium presently;
keep yours dry. We trust we are clear."
