Perhaps the fear of coming out of the frying pan into an even worse fire. I find it shocking the enormous pain and grief caused by the failed single currency experiment should continue to impact upon much of the ezone. Yes some countries have been irresponsible and outrageously extravagant living way beyond the their means but you can't blame citizens for that. Governments are supposed to govern.

Its high time the common currency was disbanded and admit defeat. That would ultimately lead to individual countries self righting over the passage of time. It would be pointless the people rebelling against austerity measures. The laws of nature would take effect.
