you should study market profile--auction market process theory-- Steidlemeyer produced the first study for the cbot (1996 edition) but better books available since.

Its what's known as an 8% true trend day in market profile terms. There are 8 different day types.

last 20 mins of NY session is book squaring---often expect to see some retracement but today remains impulsive down on -2200 breadth

yep all geared to his lagging MA's :-) We have different understanding of "breadth". I still expect a santa rally, albeit starting rather later than might have been expected.
