Yes, if USD skyrockets then all USD denominated asset classes will be reeling. But I guess any skyrocketing in USD will be a temporary liquidity issue/disbalance because the situation regarding dollar liquidity is much different than that in late 2008 - early 2009.

If one factored in catnip's view on a rocketing usd the move down in stocks could be all the more impulsive.

Yep I take that count with a large pinch of salt. Something disastrous would need to happen from here on which of course is possible but prefer to remain a little more optimistic for everyones sakes :-)

I see your 1348 logic but having got there the 78.6% level becomes a major magnet. Out of interest for future ref the 161.8% ext of wave 1 up from the 2nd July low is at 1364 from the wave 4 low on 19th Nov.

Under 666 on my opinion would be a very difficult task because we are talking nominal levels here.
I guess if we are talking in real terms, then yes, SPX will fall back beow the low of 2009. But in nominal levels this low will not be 666. IMO

If that is only half the truth there will be plenty of time to get short.

And clearly last week 1320-21 level on ES tried to put a lid on the market for several days and then finally gave up.
