our new Archbishop of Canterbury is an ex oil trader:-) Already he is gaining popularity by challenging loan sharks and issues which effect down and outs. He lookin at da Church of England pension scheme (disaster of course). The guy has a lotta common sense where the last AB was utterly hopeless, a rigid traditionalist, highly academic up in airy fairy land. During his time church congregations fell, and rightly so. Its the difference between good ole common sense and academia land:-)

Re the UK economy---its all a temporary mirage just like the US so- called economic improvements. We are both heading for disaster. If you wish to judge by short term eco stats which are often meaningless, (distorted or manipulated) then be it on your own head. I tend to look at the macro perspective for longer term views. Market price action seldom reflects the true position.
