VIX, Oil, BRICS & Sterling's Sell-Appeal

BRICS equity indices fail at key fib retracements, VIX and oil near major trend lines and sterling's sell-appeal hasn't looked this good in a while.

Hey Ashraf,

Hope you are enjoying your vacation. How do you feel about that AUD/USD trade now that the resistance was broken? And are you still standing firm with 148.00 GBP/JPY target?

Also, are you still bearish overall, despite equities barely budging downward? And, do you think the China QFII quota being raised will lift China (and world) equities even more?

Thanks

Azza, sugar was on a sugarhigh, propped by supply concerns ans was the ONLY agriculture commodity defying gravity while corn, soya and wheat were all down. therefore it is about time it drops off its highs, especially as OIL broke key support of 67.30.

annauel, exit strategy means when central babnkjs start to withdraw the extra liquidity that was injected in the system. At the end of that process thay start to raise interest rates. Another way of saying "normalizing" the situation".

SEM, I still prefer silver to gold even though i still hold both. I wrote in my Workbook (electronic guide on this side) that Gold/Silver Ratio will go lower.

Azza, You will find that a disappointing US jobs report will drag oil prices lower. And still a positive correlation between stocks and oil prices

Azza IMHO this is the time to short Gold for a short term play. Last night it reached a peak of $999 oz but is pulling back since then.

Asad I'm hearing many ppl talk about natty gas...general consensus is that we could see it going below $2 per mln BTU as new liquefied supplies hit the market
