Hey Guys

Hope the trading is going fine....

I was reading about silver and in the article is mentioned that Silver has broken its upper channel and there is a possiblity of a blow out....

Can some tell me what that means i.e will the price fall back down or will it continue to go up.

I've also noticed an almost identical movement between Eur/Usd & Silver

DaveO -- any suggestions

Canadian consumers are also in the spotlight with retail sales for February set to bounce back by 0.5% from Januarys decline of 0.3% which in turn could well see the Canadian dollar make fresh highs after making new all-time highs against the US dollar yesterday.

you should find that silver almost always follows direction of gold so when we discuss next target for gold a ret on gold will mean a ret on silver also. More recently the silver rets have been very shallow indeed but this is not likely to last forever.

I remember about a year or 18 months ago the gold buffs were suggesting trading silver because it was lagging far behind. They proved wrong at that particular time.

Gunjack, most forex and spreadbet brokers offer silver and gold, no need to be playing huge contract size.

@Qingyu I have looked to play silver too, but like anything needs time and patience in understanding the way it moves. I opened 1 lot long yday at 43.24, but sold for +6 ticks...wish i had held on....v big profits...btw the contract size in silver is v large, much larger than the CL contract

@daveoO.

I subscribe to the same philosophy. "Do the job right and everything else will follow". But to get to do the job right, one must be passionate about their job, IMHO. "Chase money and money will find a way to run away from you"- they say. This market adds another factor into the mix, that is ego. Apart from discipine, I suspect that ego is the other factor that lets traders down.

To have the "passion" is one thing and to keep the passion sustained is yet another, IMHO.

Most people make their money from their careers and not from investments. Am acutely aware of that, so I will have to hold on to my day job.
