SNBs Jordan: CHF Appreciation Hasnt Really Been Excessive

I have a nominee for the Dumb Central Banker Hall of Fame: Thomas Jordan of the SNB.
If he was quoted accurately (a big if) he said that the appreciation of the CHF has not been really excessive.
Than why are you selling billions upon billions of them?
Scary

Rob, i dont trust longs in GBPCHF. perhaps you can make sell orders at 1.43 in EURCHF for quick 50-60 pips. As for AUDUSD, you can either wait for 0.78 but bettet to grow your account and place prelim limits at 0.82, then 0.80 and 0.78. focus on this pair with conservative leverage.

Hey Ashraf,

Thanks for recent calls on AUD/USD - going to do my best to get back in and short it to 78 as you mentioned!!!

CHF - By the way - can I get your thoughts on GBP/CHF please. Would you say it's too risky to short given what looks to be SNB intervention? Or is it now a green light? Thanks, and keep those wheels smoking - much appreciated as always!

EUR/CHF

is in focus again, actually it is SNB. To intervene or not to intervene? I think is worth it to take small Long position with stop just bellow "line in the sand" 1.40000, and short trade until 1.37000 as long term position

EURO-SWISS: One trader suggesting that the SNB is not linked to the
reported large bid at Chf1.4005, saying it is linked to protection
of the barrier at Chf1.4000. Additional talk suggests there is at least
a 'yard' (E1bln) of stops from Chf1.4000 down to Chf1.3980. Asian
traders earlier had suggested that sovereign demand would appear below
Chf1.4000.
