"We have to concentrate on our own game. They are temperamental, we'll see how they deal with defeat on Saturday," Lahm said. "They are impulsive, temperamental and they don't know how to lose."

Ashraf,

Great refreshment of the site, love it, it adds the spirit. Maybe I missed it, but if you don't mind, what is the answer in the riddle Holland football- Lehman Brothers.

very exciting day. just like millions of others (maybe billion) I will be glued to TV for the games. To add to the excitement, US holiday weekend starts, and on the end NFP payroll it's gonna kick it off.
As for the teams, I still see Spain as the winner of the world cup, other than that, I just want to see some great football, some great shots, as well as some great saves.

Funny how the German camp are babbling for the past two days & no word out of Camp Maradona! Is it self-reassurance - 'don't worry, don't worry' - that they're going to win? *heheh*

Saw this on the AP wire and sports illustrated:

Germany midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger accuses World Cup quarterfinals rival Argentina of showing no respect for opponents and referees, and urges his teammates not to be provoked.

Germany eliminated Argentina on penalty kicks four years ago at the same stage and there were chaotic scenes after the shootout, with both sides exchanging punches and kicks in a fracas that included team officials from both benches.

"The shootout is still in our memory, but what really weighs heavily on our minds is what happened after that match,'' Schweinsteiger said Wednesday. "We have to remain calm and not get provoked and I hope the referee will be very alert.

"You could see their behavior at halftime of the game against Mexico. When you look at their body language and gesticulations, they way they try to influence the referees, they have no respect. It's their mentality and character and we'll have to adjust.''

Guys,

Bear in mind too that Higuan has played a game lesser than Villa! The fact that they're not mentioned in the same breath as Rooney goes to show the superficial clout THE English media (which, btw, is good for nothing) has in world football! They're the ones that make Chelsea & England seem ONE of THE best teams in the world :/ and upon show of poor performances, go about crucifying them!

As I said, THIS is the stage for the Messi's, Kaka's & Torres' to wake up. & trust me, it overdue. Hey. isn't their repute built around it? :)
