Most of all the US need to cut size of govnmt x 50%. Is that gonna happen, cut themselves, I doubt it.

i guess some people refuse to see what technicals can do for your trading...
definitely true that in many cases... technicals provide the direction prior to fundamental news popping up... these news or speeches by prominent politicians(bernanke,trichet,obama......etc) would only accelerate these anticipated moves....
furthermore, technicals give specific targets and ranges for stress free trades... hope CAT realizes this one day... :)

If Cat is misled by anything it is the ability of mkts to trade irrationally for long periods of time. Mkts know squat all and that is why we have to trade what the charts are telling us.

yeah subs, but this site not really technical analysis, more supposed to be fundamental analysis, most of which arrives after we already aware. I am flippant but with an element of truth :-)

seems all these fundamental news confusing many traders... and making them to draw conclusions and assumptions which could be very misleading....

Classic example would be CAT... who seem to know so much but has been mislead by his fundamental theories to this point.... probably will continue to do so...

but i must admit CAT's extensive knowledge on fundamentals... only drawdown is that this knowledge mislead him only to backfire on his trading....

they talking about both but the deficit cuts will not permit tax increases to hurt jobs, nor permit heathcare or social security cuts. Large corporations do not produce extra job growth and they pay miniscule taxes. Rich/poor divide widens. They should start nailing the big boys to pay taxes in full whilst incentivising the smaller boys.
