im looking for sterling weakness into end of april. its amazing how bearish sterling is looking and calls of $1.85 from goldman last year have all been forgotten. we had a huge speculative rally on the pound last year but this year will not be speculative it will be corrective but the speculators will speeden the process and will will probably not get to 2009 highs for a very long time.

@spec-you've been all over, and correct, on the euro and cable calls. I am hoping for a relief consolidation rally in cable over 1.50/1.51. In the meantime, I am short EURGBP to take advantage.

Cable plunge unbelievable despite strongish stocks. The large players seem to be offloading the stuff like theres no tomorrow. The situation in the near future may resemble 1985 where US was relatively more attractive for investment and growth. if this is the case we may see a significant move down into end of year. but its too soon to talk. Mervyn king wants a weak pound! he will get it. $1.40 is my Q2 target.

@pippedoff, nice catch on EURGBP. I had 2 orders to catch it, STOP 9090 or LIMIT 9160, I was able to catch it on its way down after missing appx 12 or so pips from the 9160. Hope to be able to ride it till 88/86 :-) Callum

amazing ain't it? They run out of GBPUSD to buy EURUSD. Now soon they will run out of EURUSD as the other Piggies start to roost one-by-one (and the extent of the Goldman Commission-Generating Swaps becomes exposed) back into GBPUSD. This is the beauty of EURGBP pair.

I learned the ways of EURGBP THE hard-way back in January when GOLDman was frontrunning GBPUSD by beating down EURGBP for two weeks before they issued their BLATANT trash bullish report on GBPUSD in January at 1.6450.

i WAS very SUSPICIOUS WHEN eurgbp was gapped up big-time on the open this sweek. Of course we all know in FV these gaps have their ways of being closed.

@Pipped: You did well to catch it at 0.9140. Nver thought it would go that high.

PippedOff, call it whatever you want. I don't trade that intraday stuff anymore, I'm getting too old for that kind of action. ;)

I'm already in the money again with that trade btw...

what do you call 200 pips, if 50 pips is noise? I call it being BLATANTLY wrong.

I am making a killing on my EURHBP short at 0.9140. I would like to thank the fools who move their jello from GBPUSD to EURUSD, only to move it back from here as the rest of the PIGS start to come to light.
