In year 2000 EURGBP was at 0.59, in 2007/08 it was around 0.78, now it is around 0.88.
In year 1985 GBPJPY peaked at 339 now around 153
And to asure you that the GPB has only gotten less worth during the last decades: From 1960-1967 GBP/NOK was stabile around 20, Ever since then it has dropped, now it is around 9,8.
GBP used to be a great currency, this is history now. If you want me to go even further back in time, in 1822 we had to pay 35,34 NOK for 1 British Pound!!!!
Here is data for GBP/NOK from 1819 untill now (yearly average)

Well I will wait to see where to correction is leading us. Then go in on CHF or YEN.
USD looks like its gonna rise now, oil will drop...
Saw the video, also the second part. I guess Marc Faber is not a fan of US Government and the FEDS...
Lol
I did CHF already, but it's abit sluggish now. Not much movements there anymore....
YEN looks more profitable.
Wow, I read about these housing prizes in Shanghai recently. I would also expect the house prices to drop more in Norway and other countries. Since the interest rent went down, the house prices hasn't dropped much here. Actually some houses has just gotten more expencive since last year....
I agree with the US economy. They kick up their stock market now, every country is following. No fundamentals....
More bubbles to bust in the future.
I ask you about the YEN, cause they got 0.1 interest rate and I like to convert my house loan into it, this way I benefit from the low interest rate and also the size of my loan will be drop as the NOK get stronger than the YEN. Risky, yes. But.....
WASHINGTON In a chilling forecast, the White House is predicting a 10-year federal deficit of $9 trillion more than the sum of all previous deficits since America's founding. And it says by the next decade's end the national debt will equal three-quarters of the entire U.S. economy.

Forget About The Chinese Stock Market, The Whole Chinese Economy Is A Bubble Waiting To Burst...........

I understand you are bearish on the USD, but in the short-term I Laidi is bearish on the oil... so when oil drop, the USD goes up and the NOK goes down compared to all Majors, and if this happens at the same time as we have a huge correction in the market (risk aversion).... then, well I guess everyone here know how the NOK got beaten last year...
Do you consider a scenario like that again?
You are not gonna short YEN before next year you say? So it means you think the worst is yet to come, right?
Almost everyone is talking about the correction comming in SEP or OCT... so there might be a chance it is not really coming then. I am just hoping to get in on a higher level with CHF or YEN.
I am long term, but a hopeless timer, even I am sure the NOK will strenghten when the world economy is stabilizing (been 1,2,3,4,5 or 10 years from now.
I am long NOK myself, but in the short-term I think there will be a correction to the stock-market, especially oil (down to 58$, so the NOK will go down against all majors.
I traded CHFNOK, but getting abit tired of that pair and hoped to get in on JPYNOK instead. However I feel that pair is abit more risky, never know where it will go. CHFNOK I am sure will go lower in the long term.
Looks like you know your trades. I will read your posts carefully!
:)
Thanks again and good luck!
Being almost the only one here trading NOK, can you tell me your short and long term predictions for JPYNOK and CHFNOK? Do we see a weaker NOK soon?
Regards
I was quite unlucky with all trades and it all went really bad.
Maybe it was a meaning to it all. However, loosing so much as I did, it has been difficult to understand.
Good to hear that Mister Ashraf saved you from the same "accident" as mine.
Commodity currencies.. well, how long do you think this volatility will last? All experts have different opinions on how the future will look, short-term and long-term.
Anyway, I am ordering Ashrafs book now!
Good luck to you too.
