Ashraf has made some v good points. My issue with Spain is their lack of width, everything goes through the middle ( Iniesta and Xavi ) and for a team like Germany it's quite easy to neutralise that point of attack. Furthermore their passing is slow and shouldn't stretch a German team whose positional-play off the ball is v good. Barring Villa they also struggle for goals (Torres has flopped) and Pique is a bit of a liability in the defence along with Capdevila. Then again I have been long Germany since the Argentina game therefore have a vested interest!!

What I don't understand is how Van Bommel only just got booked at the end of the Uruguay match, he was fouling in the Brazil game and then studded the Uruguay player leading up to the first Dutch goal... Has he got some inside info on Sepp Blatter that he has a free pass to foul whoever he likes? I hope the Germans win tonight but the psychic octopus has made it's prediction so it's not looking good for them.
