If the big drop in GBP/USD happens this year then would that mean that the pound will weaken some more against most other currencies? (so will the drop be due to USD bull market or bad UK data and or both)
Any thoughts anyone?

on a longer term trade I would love to sell sterling and buy USD as it seems like a certain bet, however I have been burnt before doing this and it worries me that everyone (except goldman!) is bearish on the pound. Seems like the forecasts are between 120 and 140 to hit this year, who thinks the lower end of this scale is possible??

does anyone have a view whether the RBNZ will raise the rate tomorrow? the general view is that they will keep them on hold this time, and if they do a surprise hike then should the kiwi rally against all?

spec, thanks for info. I see that nadeem walayat has now predicted the dxy to target 84, based on the weaker nature of the bottom. could you tell me what you were meaning when you said " track dxy not anything else". might be same answer but how will you be trading the dxy rise? thanks.

spec, have followed nadeem walayats work for last few years and found it quite good, except for his repeated calls for gbp/usd to hit parity when it hit the 1.37 mark, then as the pound bounced back he just did not mention it anymore and judging by his readers comments many of them had put their pounds into dollars(bank accounts) and lost big with no stop losses! as for ron rosen what is his track record like??
cheers

Hey sparky that was a nice start to your forum membership! you could have got your point across in a much nicer way. As a daily reader of this forum I have seen Chloe to be polite and she has only been asking the same as most other members, anyway the bottom line is that Ashraf is more than capable of letting people know if they are asking too much, as in fact he has done on several occasions over the past months to other members.
