Mont, R u still going to short at 1114. I've just shorted hoping to nibble. Like Xaron mentioned there is plenty of strength for 1123

I had an order in for 1119.1 . It missed by about 5 pips. 1115.5 as I type.

Hmm yes... switched to Euro long, Aussie long and Gold long.

Unless Gold goes back to 1112 plus, I will remain flat for the rest of the day exscept for one unit short gold at 1113.7 from earlier today.

I am hoping for a short-covering, risk rally to close out the week.

Looks like the old scheme is still active: Good US news: bad for the Dollar - at least slightly...
There might had been some risk aversion before so this money now flows out of the Dollar again, but where? :D

i agree pippedoff,i think that is the theme everything is usd at the moment,hopfully we get a nega- gdp for the us that should help our gold shorts...i didn;t add any @1113 this morning,my next level is around 1123...gl today

think about it:

a miss on GDP, and risk gets destroyed for safe-haven USD buying

beating the estimate and risk gets destroyed in anticipation of FED tightening.

We are in one of those times...
