World Cup Update

Tensions are building in the England camp, but manager Fabio Capello tells the squad not to worry, lots of people get nervous before getting on an aeroplane.

You right, Spain its one of the favorites for this 2010 Cup but don't forget Messi (Argentina). I guess Mexico team would need to deeply conquer and win its mental game before next Sunday Argentina-Mexico game. Vamos Mexico, tu puedes!

in the games tomorrow I predict a plethora of yellow and red cards. All teams are under extreme pressure. Some want to make up for under-performance and some want to grab the opportunity. It will be interesting to see teams fighting for their "world cup lives".

In case that you are wondering who am I supporting.......... well, it is ALWAYS the underdog, with the exception that I see the Spain as the next world cup Champion.

Ashraf,

They have started quiet, but I also like the Dutch. Been backing them from the beginning.

If I read the playoff schedule correctly, the Netherlands would meet Brazil in a quarter-final game (so that suspense will be over early) and then Argentina in the final. (if they all get that far).
Watch out for Paraguay.

Hey Ashraf
I promise to cheer for Algeria for you
In return can you take a look at the Baltic Index ... down 38% and 17 days in a row ... whats up with that, is it a disconnect?

Great comments by everyone.

Hey Confused, thks for the humour. I do hope your erroneous prediction on France will prove as as wrong as your forecast for Algeria-US outcome. Yes, I am Algerian and it will be very tough for us.

I still stick with my Holland prediction to goo all the way.

Even Bernanke will be waching the game live. The FOMC linguo will depend on the score ;)

The French display/behaviour in this WCup actually makes the English players look like high performing good role models...
