Rhiwad, in July 2008 i said AUDUSD would hit parity and it did NOT. Today, i say parity is possible, but not sure abt this current cycle. I think early next year is more appropriate. I think this time we may fail near 0.9980s.

My opinion, next week the NFP will be good result with unemployment of 8%. This expectation will make a Dollar stronger than last week.

accutrader, with all these predictions on QE2 by the Fed and strongChinese data, Aussie has finally regained its pre-Crisis Highs vs $USDX. we had a clear close above 0.9380 which should give us 0.9650 if FOMC announces QE next week. Alternatively, you could sell EUR vs AUD, despite these lows.

Hi Ashraf - What do you make of the Aussie? Currently at 0.9440, do you expect a correction in the short term? Where do you see the AUD/USD by year's end?

redstone, thats a good argument... but what if the actual decision to do QE is caused by general deterioration in market and economic conditions..so you must ask yourself...what is the reason ?

the appetite for commodities might cool down for q4 so except australia mining companies here are some indonesians's ones that can be potential target by chinese companies or bhp billiton
