raj, you may have to wait a while for that 9350 in usdjpy butbetter to book profits at 95.Also NZUDSD Daily bearish engulfing could show 0.66 on the way.

Cappy, you mean USDJPY loses NOT gains. yes, it's all based on the Japanese repatriation ahead of first half fiscal year on Sep 30. i rill see 96.80 and 95.80 later in week. but bettet to buy JPY vs CAD, GBP

Hi Ashraft,

Do you think USD/JPY will hit 96.80 today?

Did you know seasonal that USD/JPY gains 320 pips in August and will often erase the gains made in July? August tends to be the strongest month for the Japanese Yen across the board. In other words, other currencies such as US dollar, Euro, and British Pound have a stong tendency to fall against the yen in August. GBP/JPY drops 600 pips and EUR/JPY drops 300 pips.

Hi Steven
If USD/JAP closes Monday above 97, then usd/jap has broken the declining trend line from 6th of Aprial, also it will cross above 200/100/50 day moving average. Very bullish.

I'd like to take a poll on where everybody thinks USD/JPY will be end of August!

Jim, yes indeed, Ive added a new HOTCHART. USDJPY finally breaks 96.20, now facing resistance at 97.70, followed by 98.35.

EO, 97.60 is 61.8% retracement. For Asian Monday and then consider initiating shorts at those levels

Hi Ashraf,

Is it wise to have new USDJPY short at this level?

Thanks.

Ashraf, Strange you still post this channel intact. Probably an oversight. I always felt the band was too
wide to be of use especially since it has shown an upward bias since early July albeit pretty much sideways. I do salute you for your call of the top of the USD at 89.6 and the bottom of NOK at 7.27.
Would that I had heeded those now fateful tuning points.

All the best to you, Jim
