hey piped,can i ask u how many contracts 1would normally shorts...im new to trading these contracts an i realize margine an acct $ all factor in but any example would be appreciated ..im thinkn maybe 5 contracts...an do each contract consist of 10oz...crude contracts consist of 100barrels..thanks for helping me better understand gold...all the best..(what u doing with usdcad )none of my orders were hit yet

lol i know now,tried to play a bounce an got caught up,only a small position but still can;t see any thing to help it out except a total collapse in crude with terrible cad data,which don;t seam to be coming anytime soon,pippedoff sayn to hang in there an im tryn but its gettin hard when it falls 100-200pips a week..gl an thanks

You are long GBP/CAD? *shock* That's one of the worst combinations I can imagine (long GBP and short CAD). No offense...

hey pipedoff,my gbpcad is getting pounded week after week should i buy more at this low level an to average my cost down?not sure what to do with it..thanks

@Pipped: I shorted from around 1115, and closed about where you did. I didn't make a mint as it was a small stake, but I'm happy, because for once I entered at a reasonably good place! I'm going to try for the same place again. No idea if it will bounce that high again (or a lot higher....with gold, almost anything seems possible).
